Laudato Si'

Pope Francis' Laudato Si' is a letter written to discuss the damage being inflicted on the Earth by humans and calls on 'every person living on this planet' to make changes to their lifestyles in order to protect the planet.

Padbury Catholic Primary School acknowledges the importance of integrating sustainable practices to help promote an environmentally aware community. Our school aims to support our community to learn about and implement sustainable practices and foster respect and care for the living and non-living environment.

Padbury's Green Space is the hub for our sustainability initiatives in the heart of the school. In this space, students' work is showcased, recycling bins are located and the children can access the Containers For Change bins for their juice boxes.

Each classroom and office recycles paper. The Year Five students collect the blue recycle bins each week. Padbury students are encouraged to think critically about waste and how to minimise it.
